Coaching as a industry has only existed for a short period of time. It has come to form out of many modes of practice, and draws from many different philosophies, psychologies, and belief systems. This means it has the freedom to be unbound by any one mode of thinking or psychological framework, but rather to draw on what feels useful and intuitive to aid your process.
While coaching as a field does not have an essential regulatory structure, such like other forms of psychotherapy, it does have regulatory bodies such as the International Coaching Federation (ICF) which abide by a certain set of intentions and safeguarding practices. The ICF is the largest professional coaching body worldwide with around 41,000 members operating in 140 countries; it is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the coaching profession, setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialled coaches.
My coaching is in alignment with the ICF, which means upholding these standards and values whilst also applying my unique practices and methods of coaching that are intuitively tailored for you.
Coaching exists to enable you to move forward; becoming stronger, freer and more resilient with each step, and that is what my intentions for our sessions are.
I have explored and studied many different schools of thought and practice, and have gathered the tools I believe to be the most effective in equipping us as individuals and as part of the whole, to thrive. To strip back the layers of overwhelm and limitation, and to uncover what is true for us. To have a clarity of mind and a depth of connection to, and reverence for, ourselves and life.
My coaching style is soft, and strong, light and joyous, and tender in its depth. My intention is to open space for you to explore, to play, to dance with life, and to feel safe to open doors within you, and outside of you. I draw upon my exploration and study of coaching, philosophy, ecology, psychology, spirituality, NLP, naturopathy, and the corporate landscape. I am certified with The ICF Accredited Barefoot Coach Training Programme for Business & Personal Coaching to deepen my ability to support you.
I am the Founder of We Can Change the World, a corporate evolution training organisation supporting individuals to cultivate a greater sense of understanding of and connection to, self, community, and the planet - to facilitate the development of climate competent organisations. I am on the Advisory Board for The Good Board, a leadership development and recruitment B Corp aiming to challenge ‘Karaoke Capitalism’ and drive holistic change towards a sustainable future. I am also a musician and qualified Yoga and Meditation teacher, but most of all, I am here to enable you to uncover who and what you truly are, to feel rooted in your body and clear and expansive in your mind, to feel empowered in the unique and so needed beauty of you.
Peeling back the petals is not always a task we are able to do on our own. Sometimes we get stuck, our vision becomes clouded, and our energy to move at all dwindles. These moments, in the darkness of the soil, stuck and unmoving, are our moments of seed. We are buried to become something new, to crack open our shell, reach in the darkness trusting we will find sunlight, and when we do, the world is entirely new, as we are. In these moments, I am in service of you, I will create a container that is safe, compassionate, and completely yours, so that you may navigate your way from seed, to sprout, and far beyond.
You may be at a crossroads, or at the peak of the mountain you set out to climb, not knowing what to do next. Our sessions will offer you the space you need to: explore the subtlties of your inner knowing, to support you to illuminate the path that feels in alignment with who you are, to identify the extra weight you are carrying that you no longer need, and how to let it go, and to invigorate you in bravery and knowing as you step into your next chapter.
When we think about the ecological whole, we see the health and well-being of any particular thing in relation to the other parts of the ecosystem. When we look at our personal problems or challenges, this may mean looking at them in relation to our belief systems, our environment, our diet, energy expenditure, etc. When we look at this in relation to the climate crisis, this may mean to look at the 'self' through the lense of our relation to workplace decisions, our influence (and influences), our consumption choices, our habits, our perspectives, etc.
My intention in my coaching is to create a space for you to explore what a thriving Ecological Whole looks like for you. This could be for your personal ecosystem of 'self', or for our global ecosystem, or perhaps, moving fluidly between the two. That is for you to decide. By exploring your unique landscapes we can resource you with the tools and understanding you need to cultivate and maintain your thriving whole.
